This is a compact 30 minute practice for your back. Part of the Body Focus Series.
Having a tight, painful back is all too familiar for many of us and for ordinary back tension and discomfort, this class can offer a nice therapeutic relief. It is a slow, accessible, subtle practice incorporating deep breathing and gentle, intentional movement. The whole practice is low to the floor and the movements small and ideal if you’re feeling achy.
I encourage you to us your own intuition and honest assessment of the sensations in your back muscles to gauge how you move and how deep you move – making sure that it feels like a relief rather than a threat in your body.
For practice you’ll need a blanket.
