If you can do it but still feeling tension, this tension is caused by desire/aversion. Just breathe, visualize the tension and imagine gentle light releasing the tension.
Thanks for talking about modifications. I did not have any knee tightness a few months ago when doing lotus position, but have been walking alot more and now my knees hurt/tight. I need to find exercises to get them more stretched.
I’m going to practice these every day and reply to this when I achieve Padmasana!
