Learn how to transition from a Downward Facing Dog Pose forward into a Lunge position. This is a common transition in many yoga classes or videos, and it often moves too quickly for beginning practitioners to understand the alignment involved, so that is covered here. You will also see some modifications for those who do not yet have adequate core strength as well as folks who feel like their body is in its own way, such as practitioners with extra weight in the belly or a larger chest. Be sure to transition forward and back an equal number of times for both sides.
