Constructive Rest Position – a posture I use in every class I teach. It relates back to the Psoas Muscle which is a muscle that sits very deep in the abdomen.
This muscle tends to harden which is often the cause of lower back pain.
The Psoas is the only muscle that connects the upper body with the lower body – the abdomen with the legs.
In this simple position, gravity releases the psoas and you’ll feel more at peace with your self and the world.
Incorporate this posture with your slow diaphragmatic breathing and rest here for up to 10 minutes or more and you will begin to experience a change in how you lower back especially will feel.
